The Opportunity:

Coming out of the pandemic, AEG Worldwide was ready to report on its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Its last DEI report design was in 2018, and a new executive was overseeing DEI for the global sports and live entertainment leader.

With a wealth of data points and programs to share, it was time for a comprehensive report to show AEG’s commitment to DEI and progress across its operations, including its professional hockey and soccer franchises, arenas and iconic music festivals.

The Solution:

AEG sought to work with a diverse local business and selected woman-owned (W)right On Communications for its DEI report design based on our experience producing supplier diversity and other annual reports.

AEG Worldwide serves 10,000 employees and 160 million guests while supporting 22,000 live events annually. It was a challenge to distill down its DEI story and impact.

We focused on AEG’s:

  • Long commitment to DEI and recent progress,
  • Efforts to reflect the diversity of its fans and audiences,
  • Initiatives to diversify its workplace and suppliers, and
  • Culture of inclusivity and support for social justice issues.

We conceived a report theme – “A Stage for All” – as an inclusivity statement that also spoke to AEG’s live events focus.

Our design used iconography for key facts and figures, emphasized real faces showing actual AEG personnel and fans and maintained AEG’s existing brand standards throughout.

The Results:

AEG Worldwide’s 2023 DEI Report was:

  • Released with a company-wide event including C-suite support
  • Received positive feedback from both internal and external stakeholders, including:
    • Supporting AEG’s Equality Score of 100 from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation

(W)right On Communications was honored to help AEG Worldwide with its DEI report design, tells its story, share its significant impact and work with its passionate team.
