(W)right On Communications provides hospitality public relations as well as technology public relations.  Several years ago, these two disciplines came together with our hospitality technology PR work in support of Evolve Controls. Our San Diego office supported this Philadelphia-based company with national media outreach to build its brand awareness.

The Opportunity

Evolve Controls is innovating a new category of hospitality technology. The company’s Room Operations Center (ROC) platform is the “central nervous system” of the hotel room; enabling the deployment, communication and control of all manner of devices, software and sensors to enhance the guest experience and the hotel’s business. The company was shifting its business model away from pure device sales and wanted to be known instead as a software company.

The Solution

Through a six-month long hospitality technology PR & thought leadership campaign, WOC sought to establish credibility for Evolve and help brand its ROC system as a solid platform, as well as establish thought leadership for key executives.

The Results

WOC secured over 32 million impressions in national tech & trade publications for Evolve through media coverage in publications such as Wired Magazine, Skift, Hotel Magazine, Hotel Business Magazine, eHotelier, Lodging Magazine and CBS Philly. WOC also supported Evolve Controls through the announcement of a new CEO and other organizational changes.
